SAS Historical Foundation
A digital archive celebrating the legacy and heritage of the Special Air Service (SAS) Historical Foundation
The SAS Historical Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the Special Air Service (SAS), a special forces unit of the Australian Army. The foundation's website provides a wealth of information on the history of the SAS, including its formation, operations, and notable achievements.
In this project, I redesigned and developed the website for the SAS Historical Foundation using Plenti, a Build-Time Render (BTR) Engine. The website features a range of resources, including:
- Historical articles providing in-depth coverage of various SAS operations, such as the Malayan Emergency, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War
- Unit histories detailing the formation, operations, and notable achievements of individual SAS units
- A Roll of Honour listing SAS personnel who have been killed or wounded in action
- A comprehensive photo gallery showcasing SAS operations, personnel, and equipment
- A curated selection of SAS memorabilia, including badges, patches, and other items
- An extensive list of books and publications related to the SAS, including historical accounts, biographies, and memoirs
- Information on upcoming events and reunions related to the SAS
Website features:
- 22-page website built with Plenti - a Build-Time Render (BTR) Engine
